Description

First tested during the Spanish Civil War, the German 88mm series of anti-aircraft guns would go on to be one of the most iconic pieces of artillery used by the Axis powers. Highly mobile and easy to deploy with its wheeled carriage, the 88 quickly found use as an impromptu anti-tank weapon under Rommel in North Africa, and would serve as the basis for the main guns of the Tiger and King Tiger heavy tanks.
