Lockheed F-35 Lightning II

No longer merely the "Joint Strike Fighter," production of F-35s have recently begun at the Fort Worth Lockheed-Martin plant here in North Texas. Taking the namesake of the Lockheed's other radical multi-role design - the World War II-era P-38 - Lightning II's will replace F-16s, AV-8 Harriers, and some F/A-18 Hornets across all three services.
